I was raised in a family where creativity and eccentricity were fabulously inescapable;
I have since continued this lifestyle with dedication.
After studying Religion, Philosophy & Economics I have led a rather bohemian life.
Following an exceptionally brief stint trying to be normal (absolute fail) I returned to the world of anarchistic reverie and imagination and am happily writing children’s books when not trying to change the world in other ways.
Throughout my life, writing, dancing, music & photography have all been areas where I have felt ‘at home’ and I believe it is vital that all children should be exposed to the arts rather than commiserated with them as ‘3rd prize’.
As well as reading & writing I spend my time daydreaming and disappearing off into the countryside whenever possible!
I live in London by the river with 5 cats, my ridiculously tall son and beloved piratey husband.
13 things that make me tick…
– Thunderstorms
– 90s subculture references
– Afternoons spent in bookshops
– Cupcakes at any time of the day
– Glam rock superheros of the 70s that were larger than life
– Autumn wardrobe choices
– Hot chocolate weather
– Long, brain-twisting philosophical conversations with friends or strangers alike
– Lush bath products & hot showers
– Talking with animals
– Art galleries and museums, new ones & familiar favourites
– Pressing your ears into the speakers hoping the record will swallow you whole.
– Walking barefoot
